We have had Bassets for over 30 years, during the seventies we had pets and absolutely adored them and when the last one died we were so devastated at the hole she left in our lives that we vowed never to be in that position again.....so we got two puppies. One of the breeders reckoned we should start showing the pups and after a lot of coaxing we gave it a try, that was in 1984.....

Lately we have had great success with "Buddy" Grand Champion Towritree Mateomine and our homebred "Rosie" Grand Champion Merribas Briar Rose. Rosie was the first Grand Champion Basset Hound bitch in Australia and Buddy the first Grand Champion Basset Hound dog in Victoria. Buddy has won Best Exhibit at both the B.H.C.V Champ. Show and B.H.C.V Open Show, they are both multi In Group and In Show winners. Both come down from Hushanda lines and both are progeny of Ch. Hushanda Lyndon Johnson and excel in balance, movement, beautiful heads and furnishings and they are both tri colours.

Sadly we lost Buddy to Cancer in January 2002.

From Rosie's only litter we kept Nikki and Sam who have done very well for us both in the show ring and as great ambassadors for the breed.

Nikki  had a litter in May 2002 and we have high hopes for them as they look very promising at this stage...you can see the latest pictures of the babies on the Puppy page.

August 2003 - Nikki's son Snoopy is now an Australian Champion...he blitzed the ring and got his title in double quick time.
