What
a day

This
is Nikki winning Best Exhibit at the National.
If you run your mouse over the picture you will find links to
more about Nikki and the National.
It
was Harry's birthday....what a present!
It was a beautiful weekend in February at the end of our
Summer...fortunately it wasn't hot.

The ring was decorated with flowering plants and flags, we are
lucky enough to have one member with a beautiful voice and he
sang the National Anthems, we had stalls selling all kinds of Bassety
Stuff, Jane Miller made a magnificent quilt with Bassets on it,
which we raffled, we had Basset Tapestries, Basset Prints, etc,
etc lots of work had been done towards this weekend...it was a real extravaganza.
We had the Open Show and the Champ. Show on the Saturday and the
National on the Sunday. The Judges were Basset specialists from
Argentina and the Open Show Judge was from Victoria.

Nikki
won Runner up to the Best Exhibit at the Champ Show on the
Saturday which we were absolutely thrilled about...but nothing
prepared us for the thrill of winning the National on the
Sunday.

It
was a bit of a family thing on that weekend as Nikki's son
Snoopy won his class and Nikki's litter brother Sam won Reserve
Challenge Dog.
The
music you are listening to is "Somewhere in Time"
which I thought appropriate to the National Weekend...it was a
great moment in time for us.
If you
would prefer not to have music playing then close the first page
of Nikki's National leaving this page open.
